Right Bank, Bordeaux, France | Red Wine | AOP Lalande-de-Pomerol | ABV 14%
Grapes: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon
A silky, Right Bank gem from the gravel and clay terroirs of Lalande-de-Pomerol.
Château Perron, a family-run estate just north of Pomerol proper, produces elegant wines with a true sense of place. Benefiting from similar soils and climate to its prestigious neighbour, this cuvée blends Merlot with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon for structure and aromatic lift. Aged in oak barrels, it offers finesse, richness, and generous fruit.
Tasting Notes:
Plush and rounded on the palate, with aromas of ripe plum, cherry, and violet. Subtle hints of mocha, cedar, and spice unfold beneath the fruit, leading to a smooth, lingering finish.
Food Pairing:
Perfect with roast duck, beef Wellington, mushroom risotto, or a well-aged Comté. A great red to accompany both refined and rustic dishes.
Why We Love It:
Château Perron offers everything we love about Pomerol-style wines — richness, charm, and drinkability — without the grand cru price tag.
