Arbois, Jura, France | White Wine | AOP Arbois – Vin Jaune | ABV 14%
Grape: 100% Savagnin
An iconic and intensely complex Vin Jaune from one of Jura’s rising talents.
Jérôme Arnoux crafts this unique wine under the strict traditional process: fermented and aged under a veil of yeast for over 6 years in old oak, creating the deep oxidative character and remarkable longevity this style is known for.
Tasting Notes: Bright yellow-gold in the glass, it offers an alluring nose of toasted walnut, hazelnut, curry spice, dried fruit, and savoury herbs. On the palate: bone-dry, with invigorating acidity and flashes of citrus peel, green apple, nutmeg, and a lingering mineral finish.
Food Pairing:
Pairs beautifully with rich, earthy dishes like morel-sauce poultry, old Comté or Parmesan, mushroom risotto, foie gras, truffle-infused dishes, and other nuanced fare .
Why We Love It:
A Vin Jaune of distinction — bold, layered, and endlessly fascinating. A cellar-worthy treasure with a lifespan measured in decades, yet offering immediate intrigue and grace.
