Beaujolais, France | Red Wine | AOP Côte de Brouilly | ABV 13%
Grape: 100% Gamay
A precise and expressive Cru Beaujolais from one of the region’s most revered producers.
Perched on the volcanic slopes of Mont Brouilly, Château Thivin is one of the oldest and most respected domaines in Beaujolais. Vignes d’Écussol is a single-parcel cuvée grown on steep, south-facing blue granite soils, harvested by hand and fermented with native yeasts to preserve its purity and finesse.
Tasting Notes:
Bright and aromatic with notes of red cherry, cranberry, wildflowers, and crushed stone. The palate is juicy yet refined, showing silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and a mineral finish that speaks of its volcanic terroir.
Food Pairing:
A wonderful match for roast duck, herb-crusted pork, mushroom tarts, or grilled salmon. Also pairs beautifully with soft cheeses like Camembert or Saint-Marcellin.
Why We Love It:
This is Cru Beaujolais at its best — elegant, terroir-driven, and quietly powerful. A wine that bridges the gap between joyful drinkability and serious structure.
