Minervois, Languedoc, France | Red Wine | AOP Minervois | ABV 14.5%
Grapes: Mourvèdre, Syrah, Carignan, Grenache (equal parts)
A robust, expressive Minervois red from a seventh-generation family domaine.
Inspired by heritage viticulture and biodiverse foothills in Mailhac, this wine is crafted with whole-cluster carbonic maceration followed by ageing—partly in stainless steel and partly in oak—for a balanced expression of fruit and texture.
Tasting Notes:
Bold aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, morello cherry, and subtle licorice. The palate is full-bodied and round, with polished tannins, silky texture, high acidity, and a minerally core. Leather and dried prune nuances emerge with decanting .
Food Pairing:
An ideal companion to grilled meats, lamb, game, poultry, rich stews, or aged dishes like braised beef and hard cheeses.
Why We Love It:
Heledus marries the power of Minervois with finesse—delivering captivating fruit, a smooth yet structured palate, and serious personality. A rewarding everyday wine with a great lineage.
