Grape Variety
Appellation: Pernand Vergelesses, Burgundy
Comment
This wine comes from the Pernand-Vergelesses terroir, located on the prestigious Montagne de Corton. The parcel from which it originates is characterised by deep soils containing red clay, rich in iron. This iron contributes to the wine's depth and complexity. However, this is not a rustic wine; Christine, who manages the estate, carefully oversees the vinification process to achieve softer tannins.
Tasting notes
This cuvée displays aromas of juicy black cherries and has a pleasing length.
Food pairing
To accompany this wine, I suggest serving it with a stuffed guinea fowl or, for a vegetarian option, with a saucy dish featuring mushrooms.
