Fiefs Vendéens, Loire Valley, France | White Wine | AOP Fiefs Vendéens | ABV 12.5%
Grapes: Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay
A bright, coastal white from France’s western frontier — crisp, textured, and beautifully balanced.
From vineyards just inland from the Atlantic coast, Collection by Domaine J. Mourat is a blend of Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay grown on schist soils in the Fiefs Vendéens appellation. This 2023 vintage is vinified with a focus on freshness and tension, expressing the oceanic influence and mineral-rich terroir of the region.
Tasting Notes:
Lifted aromas of lemon zest, white flowers, and green pear. The palate is crisp and saline, with notes of citrus, orchard fruit, and a clean, flinty finish that lingers with subtle complexity.
Food Pairing:
Ideal with oysters, grilled prawns, goat’s cheese salad, or simple vegetable tart. A wine that sings with seafood and light fare.
Why We Love It:
J. Mourat’s Collection captures the lesser-known brilliance of the Vendée coast — offering finesse, drinkability, and a touch of maritime freshness in every glass.
