Grape: 100% Chardonnay
A vibrant and characterful Loire Chardonnay grown on ancient granite soils.
From six generations of winemakers in Château-Thébaud, Domaine Lieubeau’s Chardonnay comes from 30-year-old vines planted on crystalline granite slopes near Nantes. The sustainably managed vineyards are harvested at night to preserve freshness. The wine is gently pressed, undergoes partial malolactic fermentation, and spends 6–9 months ageing, partially in oak.
Tasting Notes
A charming bouquet of hazelnut and brioche transitions into bright notes of white peach, citrus blossom, and light toasty nuances. The palate is supple and textured, balanced with crisp acidity and a fresh, mineral finish.
Food Pairing
Ideal as an aperitif or paired with fish, savory tarts, roasted poultry, and creamy dishes.
Why We Love It
This wine captures the freshness and elegance of the Loire with a touch of Burgundian style. Its combination of purity, texture, and finesse makes it a beautifully expressive and versatile white at excellent value.
