Grape Variety
Graves Appellation
Comment
Clos Floridène is undoubtedly one of the greatest dry white wines from Bordeaux, capable of competing with the grand crus. Located in the Graves appellation, it is not included in the prestigious Pessac-Léognan appellation, making it more affordable!
Tasting notes
I have a vivid memory of a 20-year-old Clos Floridène blanc, which was striking in its balance and complexity. We were delighted and surprised to find that this wine had such potential. Although it is good when young, it’s preferable to wait at least 5 years before opening it.
Food pairing
Enjoy Clos Floridène blanc with a cheese platter featuring Cheddar or Wensleydale. The barrel ageing and complexity of this wine allow it to pair well with more mature and strong cheeses.
