Comment
The Médoc appellation, located to the north of the Bordeaux vineyards, enjoys an exceptional location on the edge of the Gironde estuary. Château Vieux Cassan has a 21-hectare vineyard located in the heart of the Médoc appellation. Since 1984, two generations have succeeded Antoine de Fournas, perpetuating the taste for a job well done and the passion for wine, as well as sustainable agriculture by intervening as little as possible on the development of the vines. All plots are surrounded by hedges to preserve balance and biodiversity.
Tasting notes
Strong colour, purplish reflections. Nose opening with aromas of red and black fruits, earthy notes. On the palate, a frank attack with substance, tannins present in the evolution but respecting the balance, finish on the fruit.
