In 1850, a family of plowmen, the Modet family, worked in the communes of Baurech and Tabanac for the bourgeois, nobles and notables of Bordeaux who owned the estates in the region. Thanks to their hard work, they will save, little by little, enough to acquire plots of vines over the generations. Louis Modet bought part of Constantin, his son Maurice became the owner of part of Melin in 1908, followed by his son André who reconstituted the Domaine de Melin and rented part of Constantin. It is this part that Claude Modet bought in 1972 from the Dubourg Family and in 1979 from Héritiers Barbe. 20 years later, in 1992, Pascal, Claude's son, took part in the exploitation work. After the death of his father in 2003, he took over its management.
Tasting notes
Ruby color. Nose with notes of red fruits. Light and balanced woody and vegetal aromas that bring roundness and pleasure. Pleasant melted tannins and nice hold in the mouth.
