Château Gaudin has been a family property since 1901. From 4 hectares at the time, thanks to 3 successive generations, the estate today has 11 hectares of fabulous vines whose average age is 40 years. Château Gaudin is located in Pauillac in the Médoc in Gironde. This vineyard benefits from a completely privileged location because it is located on the gravelly hills of the village of Saint-Lambert in the commune of Pauillac, surrounded by prestigious vintage vineyards.
Tasting notes
The nose of Château Gaudin is fine, powerful and complex; red and black fruits then vanilla and leather, finally giving way to the aging notes (spices, liquorice, vanilla and oak). On the palate, the fullness of this wine is impressive. The attack is supple and powerful at the same time, the substance is revealed little by little, it is deep, very fine, powerful and full-bodied at the same time, the tannins are of rare elegance while being firm, fine and with a inimitable grain. A finish is very long, especially with notes of aging when the Pauillac is young. As it ages, the tannins will blend into the substance which will gain in voluptuousness and finesse...
