Grape Variety
Appellation: Champagne
Comment
We are in Chouilly, a renowned village in the Côte des Blancs, located near Épernay, on a small parcel classified as Grand Cru. This exceptional terroir, among the top 2% most sought after by the major Champagne houses, is famous for its remarkably subtle Chardonnays. Each year, one of the most prestigious Champagne houses purchases part of the harvest to craft its most refined cuvées. This Champagne is a “Blanc de Blancs,” meaning it is made exclusively from white grapes, specifically Chardonnay in this case.
The label of this cuvée features a work by Floriane Dupont, known as Flouk, a French artist from Lille.
Tasting notes
This Champagne stands out for its finesse and gourmand character, with brioche aromas and notes of white fruits, supported by a delicate minerality.
Food pairing
To pair with this Grand Cru, opt for seafood or a fish ceviche for a subtle harmony, avoiding overly strong seasonings. For a vegetarian option, a celeriac and green apple tartare will provide the perfect freshness to complement this Blanc de Blancs.
